MGAIT and Nasscom jointly conducted a workshop on Tipping Point: Revolutionizing your product's future" which addressed how the future will be shaped because of these advancements and the impact it will have on future products, on Thursday, 31 August 2017, at 02.00 pm, Bengaluru.
The advent of internet based products has been a game changer and is close to touching more than half of the world's population in numerous ways. Due to the rise of the internet, technologies have become a core part of today's products and their uses. The future, however, promises to be even more exciting, providing opportunities for businesses thanks to emerging technologies that will reach their tipping points.
Tipping point is classically defined as "the point at which a series of small changes or incidents becomes significant enough to cause a larger, more important change". And today we are not merely talking about changes to obscure technologies in labs, but changes that could potentially change the way human societies work and have fun over the next ten years.
Some of the recent examples of technologies that will impact the way products are created and services distributed include the Cloud and Internet of Things. These two technology domains alone promises to change the way companies will drive their businesses.
It is therefore important to understand how such technologies will impact the products and services of the future; and how engineers and product owners will have to change the way they think about incorporating such them into their businesses.
